Priya Venkatasubramanian, born in a family where music is a way of life, started singing at the age of 6, training in Carnatic classical music at Kalasadan, Mumbai and later from Mrs.Indira Gurushankar in Mumbai. Priya has been pursuing her passion for music and teaching in Dubai for the past 15 years, sharing Carnatic classical vocal, bhajans and light music with her friends and their children.

A runner up at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, UAE in 2003 and participant in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in Mumbai, Priya is currently teaching Hindustani Classical Vocal at Aadi Shakti Music and Dance Centre, Dubai. She has also been taking guidance for vocal under Atit kumar Pandey and Amit Kumar Pandey .
